ECB U19 COUNTY CHAMPIONS 2016 AND 2017

Sunday 20 August: unfortunately the inclement weather meant that today's fixture against Lashings was abandoned at the tea interval, with Potterne having dismissed Lashings for 132.  Prior to the start of the game, lunch was enjoyed by 400 attendees in the marquee.  Thanks go to the countless volunteers who helped in the preparation of the event, as well as on the day.

Saturday 19 August: another mixed set of results today with victories for the 2nd XI at Bath Hospitals and the 3rd XI at Wroughton Wranglers.  Unfortunately there were defeats for the 1st XI at home to Frocester and the 4th XI at home to Erlestoke.  Special mention is reserved for Kimberley Sainsbury and her new husband Sam Donaghy, who were married today, with the reception taking place at The Grove.  Congratulations and best wishes from all at the club.

Sunday 13 August: a successful day for the club as the Under 19s retained their T20 title on Finals Day at Biddestone.  Wootton Bassett were defeated in a very close semi-final, and Swindon were beaten in the final.  Congratulations go to Jack Hurley and all players on their success.  The Under 9s won one and lost two games at the Trowbridge Kwik Cricket Festival.

Saturday 12 August: a better set of results today, with three victories from the four league fixtures.  There were convincing wins for the 1st XI at high-fliers Clevedon, and for the 2nd XI at home to Biddestone 2nd XI.  The 3rd XI had a home victory against Collingbourne, with the 4th defeated at Wilcot.
